Christians i need your help?

Christians,i wanna become a christian but im not sure because some things im not comfortable about.For example ive heard some christians say things like they were filthy slime before becoming born again.Do you have to call yourself stuff like filthy slime to become a christian because ive already got not low selfesteem but no self esteem and calling myself filthy slime and stuff will just make me feel even worse
