Did the celtics give up 2 much 2 get garnett?

jefferson could be a solid player, telfair has potential (although i personally doubt he'll ever be any good) and 2 1st round picks and cash and an expiring contract and green. garnett is good but isnt he on the downside of his career, i scoffed when an amare for garnett trade was proposed, amare is a better player than garnett hands down
