Problem with phlegm?

Jes, if you're still using a heater in your home, you need a humidifier to run at night. Also, increase your water intake. These two things will keep that mucous from becoming thick. You might consider using saline solution to wash out your sinuses at night. There are all sorts of over the counter non-drowsy meds available. This time of the year the pollen count is so high, it gets to everyone! Consider investing in a good air purifier. If you have your windows open....you might want to shut them or get some sort of filter so you can leave the open. I know all of this sucks, but the bottom line is thick mucous holds bacteria in your sinuses and throat which can lead to bronchitis or pneumonia. Godloveya.
