Why do christians get so offended when someone says "i dont believe in a god or anything supernatural"?

it bothers me when i have to defend my position on this matter, when logically speaking there is no evidence for a god or jesus or anything supernatural, thus the super in supernatural... i dont like feeling like a jerk by shutting them down and defending my reasoning, in fact its not a matter of belief its a matter of common sense and reason... there is no evidence of any gods ever directly acting in the world or making any imprint in time... nor is there any evidence of this jesus fellow traipsing about...
